It is school holidays here in New Zealand and we are having a really bitter cold snap. Maisie and I thought we would create something together and she was keen on making something to keep her all warm and toasty. That's how we came up with the idea of this cuddly fleece blanket in the shape of a princess dress... I looked for a sewing pattern but we could not find anything like it on Etsy or Google, not anywhere. So we decided to create our own pattern... it turned out fabulous, so much so I am now having to make a toddler size for Isla. Pattern available to purchase in 3 sizes from my Etsy shop, see pattern link above.
Felt Sloth Sewing Pattern - DIY Felt Sloth and Baby
Growing up in our house 'you move like a sloth' was a comment you heard a lot from our parents... mostly towards my brother. They really are the most amazing creatures and I so enjoyed making this pattern. Mummy sloth is hanging from a leafy branch whilst her baby is all cuddled up on her tummy. This is a easy pattern, with step by step instructions and photos to help you along the way. Have fun creating!
